Exciting news, BSX has the new mountable BIOSONIX on the market. Go to the sponsors page and click on the BSX to check it out and order one. I truly fish with my Biosonix on a consistent basis and it does give me an advantage. If you have questions on the BIOSONIX send me an email.
FROG SEASON IS BEGINNING
The frogs are starting to make their noise and getting active coming out of winter hibernation. I
have my tackle bags full of Stanley Ribbits and the Lunker Ugly Frog. When the fish are active and on a definite feed I chunk the
Stanley Ribbit and when the bite slows down or if I am looking for that kicker fish I go to the Lunker Ugly Frog. The Stanley Ribbit
is a great action bait and a lot of fun to fish. The Lunker Ugly Frog is a slower bait where I use a lot of long pauses in an effort
to aggravate the fish. I fish both of these frogs using 30lb braid on a St. Croix Legend Tournament Series 7'6" MH action rod and
that combo gets them out of the heavy cover. Make sure you stock up on these great baits for your next trip and get a St. Croix rod
to make sure your trophy bass gets to the boat.
FLW Stren is coming to Amistad in May and I am being told it is a great time of year to be on Amistad. Everybody will be looking for fishing information or a fishing trip to prepare for the event. There is a great guide on Amistad. Contact Capt. James Burkeen at Amistad Bassin Adventures, phone number 830-734-9652 or check out his current report by clicking Lake Amistad.
